An eye bank is a specialized medical facility where donated eye tissues, especially the cornea, are collected, evaluated, preserved, and provided for transplantation to patients who have lost vision due to corneal diseases, injuries, or infections.At Aiva Hospital, the Eye Bank encourages people to donate their eyes after death so that others can regain sight. Donated corneas are carefully retrieved with the consent of the donor’s family and are used for corneal transplant surgeries to restore vision in patients with severe corneal damage. This noble act gives the priceless gift of sight to individuals who are living with visual impairment
